My Whale Poem
(In Memorium for 302)
By Karen Phillips
Thanks to Rose,
I held a whale in my arms last night
and stepped into a stream of timelessness.
So expansive.
Thanks to love,
the wonder of it all washing over me
like the gentle rolling of the saltwater.
So calm.
Thanks to 300,
tears rolling down each side of my nose,
I balanced my stance and levered her dorsal fin up straight.
So simple.
Thanks to God,
my hand on her skin,
a vibration of pure Universal energy passed between us.
So perfect.
Thanks to the Eternal,
together we leaped into the abyss of wordlesscommunication
swimming in currents of bliss.
The two became one.
